VISITATION RULES
• Visitation is on a FIRST come, FIRST served basis. Space is limited
• Only three visitors (including children) are allowed
• Persons 16 years of age or younger, who are not the spouse of the inmate, must be accompanied and escorted by an adult. If the person 16 years of age or younger is the spouse, a valid marriage license must be presented upon visitation registration
• Visitors must present a legible, officially issued picture identification card upon registering (DPS issued ID or DL, passport, or military ID)
• Visitors may be subject to search
• Visitors are not permitted to deliver, introduce, or smuggle any items into the facility
• Appropriate conservative attire must be worn
• No children under the age of 16 are to be left unattended in the lobby or outside in the plaza
• Inmates are permitted two non-contact visits a week, 20 minutes each in duration
TELEPHONE USAGE
Telephones are available in each of the dayrooms. Inmates will have access to the telephone during morning, afternoon, and evening hours. A 20-minute time limit is enforced to allow all inmates access to the telephone. These are “collect call” telephones which requires the receiver of the call to pay the charges for those calls that are accepted. Should you have questions regarding the Evercom phone system or phone call charges please contact 1-800-844-6591.
As an alternative to the “collect calls”, inmates can also purchase phone cards for $10 or $20 through Commissary. These phone cards can be used to reach cell phones. They can be carried at all times. They can be used outside the facility when the inmate is released.
INMATE DEPOSIT PROCEDURES
• Deposits must be in money order form
• The money order must be made out to the INMATE TRUST FUND
• You must include the name and date of birth of the inmate on the money order to ensure the proper account is credited
• The money order must be placed in an envelope alone and mailed to the address below
• All money orders received will be receipted with a copy forwarded only to the inmate

Correspondence addressed improperly or money orders not following the above procedures will be Returned to Sender. All letters, cards, and other correspondence are to be sent directly to the inmate at one of the addresses listed above. Inmates incarcerated at the Central Booking Facility are not eligible to receive mail.
PROPERTY RELEASE PROCEDURES
Inmates may release personal property during the posted release hours. Individuals receiving property are required to show valid, official picture identification. Inmates being transferred to prison must designate a specific person whom they authorize to receive their property. Items not picked up within 30 days will be disposed of.
TRAVIS COUNTY JAIL HOURS
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Any time of the day or night, arrangements may be made if a property release is necessary to secure an inmate’s release.
CENTRAL BOOKING HOURS
Individuals who are currently in the Central Booking Facility can release their valuables, in their entirety, to facilitate their release Monday through Sunday, 24 hours a day.

VISITATION OPPORTUNITIES
This schedule will allow inmates the opportunity for visits 2 times per week, including any authorized special visits. The week starts on Tuesday morning and ends on Saturday evenings. Only three visitors allowed per visit. Persons 16 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Building #2 Visitation
Visitations are by video conference only. However, be aware that due to security reasons, you may be required to wait until the next scheduled visit. Video conference stations will be assigned to you by a staff at sign-up.
Building #3 Visitation
Visitors visiting inmates housed in units “I”, “J”, and “K” will be transported to the building by van. If you have any special needs, please advise the staff.
Building #12 Visitation
Male and Female inmates are housed in this building. Visitations are by video conference only. Conference stations are numbers 11-40. When assigned a station number, DO NOT pick up handset until you SEE the inmate on the screen.
DRESS CODE
Short skirts, short and tank top sleeves are prohibited for both male and female. Long pants are recommended.

VISITATION/HOUSING
Inquiries regarding visitation schedule, housing or to see if someone is in custody may be made by calling the facilities listed above. Whether the inmate is male or female will dictate their visitation times. All regular visits are conducted Tuesday through Saturday. Inmate information can be obtained online at www.tcsheriff.org.
Do not send cash, money orders and cashier’s checks, (see Commissary Fund Deposits) stamps, envelopes, nonnegotiable instruments (payrolls checks and/or personal checks). Obscene or gang related material or pictures, plastic cards, books*, letters or cards with stickers, etc. Items not acceptable will be returned or destroyed. Photos must have inmates name and date of birth (DOB) on them.
Newspapers, magazines and paperback books are received only through the mail in original packaging, directly from publishers or governmental entities. The materials are inspected for content and possible contraband before distribution. Materials received from bookstores and/or publishers, including purchases via the Internet, are accepted if it can be determined that the purchase was conducted offsite and did not involve handling by persons other than the bookstore/warehouse staff. A maximum of two books or magazines can be ordered at any given time. If more than two (2) books or magazines are received, they will be returned to the sender.
COMMISSARY FUND DEPOSITS
All Funds must be mailed, in the form of a money order or cashier’s check. The money order/cashier’s check must be made payable to: Inmate Trust Fund and must include the inmate’s name, date of birth (DOB) and Booking Number (BKG#). Please also include the inmate’s name and date of birth on the envelope as shown below. You are encouraged to send a copy of the Inmate Trust Fund Deposit Slip, which can be obtained from either the inmate or at the Information Desk at either facility. When mailing the money order/cashier’s check DO NOT include any letters, pictures, cards, etc. Please mail the letters, pictures, cards, etc to the facility in which the inmate is housed (either: Travis County Jail or Travis County Correctional Complex as listed above). You can drop off money orders in person at the Finance Office Building #230, located on the North side of the Complex next to the soft-ball fields. Their hours are Mon-Fri 9am-3pm.
PROPERTY
Inmates who wish to release their valuables or transfer funds may do so between 8:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday only. If you know you are coming to pick up either valuables or funds, please contact us at least 72 hours in advance so that we can obtain the property release form from the inmate. If you do not call in advance, it may take up to an hour (or longer) to receive these items. No property other than Court Clothes or Special Equipment Authorizations will be accepted for inmates. These items may be dropped off any day of the week from 8:00 am to 10:00pm. Court clothes may only be accepted if the inmate is scheduled for a trial or a hearing in which witness will be present. The inmate must be on the Docket for the next day before the clothing can be accepted. The Docket is not published until approximately 6:00pm the working day prior to court. You must also have a proper identification to obtain anything or to drop off anything for the inmate.

Work Release and Weekend Program inquiries may be made by calling 512-854-4186. Bonds and fine payments will be taken at either facility 24 hours a day.
