Our staff of licensed bail bondsmen will arrange for a bond or jail release of your friend or relative quickly and professionally from the Travis County Jail or the Del Valle Jail. If you have a friend, relative or loved one who needs a bail bond / jail release from Travis County / Austin, Texas, please call us at 512-834-2245 (BAIL) and review our bail bond process with a licensed bail bondsman.

With over 4000 arrests in DWIs alone each year in Austin, plenty of people need a bail bondsman and ATX Bail Bonds is here to help.

If you have an active warrant in Travis County, ATX Bail Bonds can assist you in having that cleared.  You can check for warrants that have been issued through the Travis County Sheriff’s Department and the Austin Police Department by following the links on our Resources page.  In order have an active warrant lifted, the accused must appear at the jail for a self surrender.  This is called a Walk-Through, when you turn yourself in with a bondsman there to post a bond so your stay is as short as possible.

A representative from ATX Bail Bonds will accompany you to the jail where we will go to the bonding desk to begin the walk-through.  The officer will check for active warrants in both TCIC and NCIC (the Texas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center).  Once a warrant is found you are considered in custody while the officer waits for confirmation from the originating agency.

Surety Bonds vs. Personal Bonds

A Personal Recognizance Bond commonly referred to as a Personal Bond or PR Bond, is issued by Pretrial Services in Travis County. These bonds are typically granted to individuals that have been arrested for the first time and are stable in or around the Travis County area. Before you can receive a PR Bond, you must be interviewed by an officer of Pretrial Services, have your references checked and be approved by a judge.

• PR Bonds must be approved by a judge before they are posted.

• Surety Bail Bonds only require the inmate's approval and signature before they are posted.

Before a judge will approve a Personal Bond, he will often add conditions to justify its approval that can include meetings with Pretrial officers, mandatory classes and additional expenses not disclosed at the time of release. The mandatory classes can include alcohol awareness class for offenses such as Driving While Intoxicated or anger management classes for cases involving Assault Causing Bodily Injury. You are required to pay for each and every class assigned to fulfill the conditions of a PR Bond, regardless of whether you are found innocent or guilty.

• PR Bonds can require additional conditions such as meetings, classes and expenses.

• Surety Bail Bonds do not assign conditions to your bond.
